Welcome to the first issue of the all-new, performance-enhanced, regular, monthly, Recharged Magazine.

Without getting too pretentious about it, our aim is to provide an alternative voice in urban music. Yeah, sure, in this brave new world of “new media” there are loads of magazines, blogs, websites, and YouTube channels dedicated to urban music and the associated culture, but we've found they can be a bit "lacking in intellectual substance". Basically, we believe that just because you like grime, drum and bass, dubstep, or whatever, it doesn't mean you're a retard. In fact, often it's exactly the opposite. There are some very intelligent, creative people involved in this industry, both as producers and consumers of urban music.
Recharged Magazine is for those people.
Each month, along with the usual reviews, charts, event listings, and so on, we'll be talking to people who have got something to say about this business that's worth listening to, plus we'll be doing some horizon-broadening, via our Artforms and Current Affairs sections. Additionally, we're committed to providing resources for those of you who've got the talent and drive to make something of yourself in the urban music game, through our Aim High section.
So, have a look round, and make yourself at home. We hope you like what you see.
